Percolator

  1. Measure medium-ground coffee into the basket of the percolator. Use a ratio of 10 grams (2 level tablespoons) per cup of coffee to be brewed. Add the corresponding amount of water to the base of your percolator and heat the coffee over medium flame.
  2. When it starts to "perk" (frequent and rhythmic bubbling in the bulb of the percolator), reduce the flame to low and set a timer for 5 minutes.
  3. After the 5 minutes, remove the coffee from the heat. Allow to rest briefly before enjoying. Note: To reheat, remove the spindle and basket of grounds from the percolator and heat on low flame to desired temperature.
